About NUCAUT

The National Union of the Canadian Association of University Teachers (NUCAUT) is the national union of Canada's post-secondary academic staff. It promotes within the Canadian Labour Congress the interests of academic staff and seeks to improve the quality and accessibility of post-secondary education in Canada. NUCAUT is committed to the promotion of equity and opposes harassment and discrimination of any sort. NUCAUT contributes to building and unifying the labour movement by working with labour councils, provincial federations of labour and other national unions.

5th Triennial National Convention of NUCAUT – May 4 & 5, 2014

At the last convention, NUCAUT delegates voted to have the 5th triennial Convention of NUCAUT on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5, in Montreal, QC, in order to coincide with the CLC Convention (May 5-9). The NUCAUT Convention will begin around 5:00pm (EST) on Sunday evening to allow delegates time to arrive in Montreal following the CAUT Council meeting (May 1- May 4) and will continue Monday morning until the opening of the CLC Convention. If there remains unfinished business at that time, it will continue on Monday evening.
